Expanding Your Business by Talking with Two Prospects Each Day

Wouldn’t you agree that anyone who is serious about their business
can talk to two people a day? How would this change your business
success? It doesn’t matter what company you are with, what product
you represent or how new or old you are in your business, people
are the lifeblood! If the communications is long distance, consider using Skype.

The power in just talking to two people a day about your business or
your products is staggering. It may not seem like much that day
(and on the other hand, it may seem like a TON) at the end of the
month, you’ll have talked to 60 people. I would be willing to bet,
if you are doing things correctly and keeping the needs of the
person to whom you are speaking in mind, you are going to have some
level of success to report back at the end of that month!

Consistency in this business is CRITICAL!

If you are feeling overwhelmed and are struggling, stop
for a minute and determine what your five most important action steps
are EACH DAY and EACH WEEK.

Certainly, talking to two people a day would move you forward if it
was on your daily action list.

This could be calling two people about hosting a party for you;
calling two people to ask – “who do you know who likes to get free
stuff and have parties?”; calling two people to ask -“Who do you know
who loves XYZ Products and might want to earn some extra income?”

And, for a similar approach on the Internet, reach out to two or more people via scheduled mini webinars that you have scheduled each day of the work week, where you can hold initial or follow-up discussions with prospects or those who may be able to refer you to others that they know.

Who do you know may me a good fit for your products or services, or who wants to earn extra income in their own business, or who wants to generate more leads, more visitors to their website or storefront?

Try it and see what happens.

Continuing with more blogging ideas and tips shared by Jackie Ulmer (JackieUlmer.com) at the Pure Leverage FREEDOM Live event held in the convention center of the MGM Grand hotel & casino complex in Las Vegas September 26th & 27th, 2013, here are  a few more tips and ideas of interest:

  • Who makes the most sense (i.e. your ideal target customer)?
  • Online – be sure to take a strategic approach to planning your blogging and connecting efforts
  • What ‘needs’ do your target customers have that you can fill?
  • Where will you find your ideal prospects, customers?
  • Let your potential customers seek more information, as it then becomes their idea
  • Provide enough information to strike an interest and and interesting teaser
  • The 4 C’s
    • Create Traffic
    • Capture – Opt in
    • Connect – email, blog; build a relationship (to arrive at Know Like Trust)
    • Convert – provide valuable information that creates a compelling desire for your ideal customer to join/buy
  • Make a connection with your potential customers
  • Avoid a blatant pitch in your posts and communications unless it is expected
  • Create great, valuable content and share it with your followers, prospects and customers
  • Key to good, great content
    • Educational
    • Value oriented
    • Entertaining (share stories)
    • Make a connection
    • Avoid any attempt to pitch your product or service (that clouds the purpose of the great content that you are providing. Or, focus the content so that the reader/viewer knows that it is a pitch on the product or service that you are offering
    • Achieve organic search engine traffic via the use of keywords and backlinks
    • Social Media
    • Your list – provide your great content to your subscriber list, frequently (even up to two times a day)
    • Market through posts of great content on LinkedIn groups, Facebook, Tweeter, etc.

 

Blogging tips for your business

What a great first day! Loaded with guest speakers, enormous amounts of actionable ideas for our businesses (whatever they may be), and the setting of an even deeper appreciation for what Joel Therien and his team have created for folks like me!

A key topic for me was that on blogging, presented by Jackie Ulmer (jackieulmer.com). What an inspirational leader in the network and internet marketing space. Here’s a very brief highlight of some of the notes I took during Jackie’s presentaion:

– Marketing your blog – an important part of your Internet business
– Build a List — worth repeated, you must “BUILD A LIST” to grow your business
– Take one step at a time
– Don’t get bogged down trying to do every strategy you see or hear
– File some of what you see or hear away for a later day
– Be very consistent

Why a blog? A blog is your business center; drive traffic to it, and create traffic to expand your reach to your Websites or to affiliate sites where you can generate additional income.
– Your blog posts should be educational, entertaining, and engaging
– Your blog posts should contain a Call To Action (example – after you finish reading this post, learn more about Pure Leverage’s marketing tools suite and reseller opportunity here on my blog)
– Put a name with a face (i.e. you’ll see my picture and a brief note about me on the right side of my blog pages)

The process of building your business and ideas to keep in mind when you are blogging:
– What are you selling?
– Who is your prospect?
– What information are they seeking?
– How are they seeking it?
– Your game plan
– Your most wanted response (from those reading your blog, visiting your Website, connecting with you via social media, etc.)

Take the 90-day challenge that Jackie presented – blog at least once a day for the next 90 days.

Take daily action steps to building and expanding your business
What will be the results of your efforts – the next 1 year, the next 5 years, think of your own story

If you do things right, you are on your way to having folks Know, Like, and Trust you!

How To Work Your Business Part Time

Part Time Network Marketer’s make up the largest majority of our
profession and most people start out part time. Don’t be fooled,
though! It is very possible to build a full time business with part
time effort. However, you’ll want to have a plan, set it, and stick to it!

Here are some ideas to make the most of a part time effort:

1. Every Sunday evening, block out your calendar for those time
slots that you have available to work your business. This may mean
sacrificing a few things like TV for 4 hours a night, lunch out
with the work gang, etc.

2. Make every moment count. Again, focus. If you block out 5 to 10
hours per week, you must make the most of that time. That is not
the time you spend lost in email; listening to company voice mail,
opening mail, designing a flyer, etc. This is time that is spent
doing one of three things – presenting your business, asking
someone new to take a look, or following up with someone who has
seen it. That’s it

3. You must have a simple, duplicatable and organized system for
working through your contact list. Let the tools of your business
do the work for you.

4. Be consistent and persistent. Honor your business time and
demand that others honor it, too. Get your calls out of the way
early on, so you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day, doing
whatever.

5. Learn your business and the compensation plan, and develop a
quick 5-10 minute presentation for explaining it. Don’t worry about
knowing every fine details of the compensation plan. Know how to
explain how to earn a couple hundred to one thousand dollars extra
a month.

A full time effort has nothing to do with the hours available in
the day. It’s what you do with that time that counts!

Network Marketers – Use Your Products

There are a few key qualities that every successful Network
Marketing Professional have in common and one at the top of the
list is using your own products! All of them.

The easiest way to do this is to use the “trash bag” trick. Go
through your company catalog carefully and then take a trash bag
and bag up every product in your home that your company offers
through your own “store” or Website. Or, if the products are not physical
items, stop using the competing services or applications, and start
using those that you are marketing to others. Don’t hold back, this is
an important step in immersing yourself in your company and products
and/or services. This helps develop your product story and you might
be surprised how many people who visit your home, storefront, or website
will ask about your products.

Also begin to share your products with others through samples and demos.
This will repay you tenfold in profit, repeat orders and customer referrals
over time. Your products are the best sales aid and tool you have, so why
not use them? It’s a solid investment inyour business and a tax write-off.

As you sponsor others and grow your team, spend your time with the
ones who commit to the product line as well. Those who commit to
the product line from the beginning deserve your time and will likely be
your most stable business builders.

When you are solid in your belief and use of your products, others
will notice and become curious. Commit to yourself and your
business through this first key quality – Use Your Products! And,
then naturally recommend them to others.

For Network Marketers A Question Often Asked – How Do I Motivate My Team

A question that often comes up in Network Marketing is – How do I
motivate my team? As your downline grows, you will probably find yourself
looking for answers. Here are some answers and ideas on motivation and leadership.
Lets get this team motivated
It’s not possible to MOTIVATE another person. You can INSPIRE them through your actions and efforts, but motivation comes from within.
It’s something each person must develop on their own.  One way for you to inspire your team includes always being in action yourself. Do you have a company top sponsor list (leader board) or team building contest? Be on it so that your team can see and know that you believe and are taking action.

Recognize achievements both large and small. After all, the size of
the accomplishment varies person to person and small steps grow to
giant leaps.

Have tools, hold webinars or training sessions to educate and interact with the team.

Make a point of being accessible – return emails and phone calls. Take time to
ask how things are going and make note of birthdays, anniversaries, milestones in their network marketing business, etc.

Consider having contests, challenges and incentives. These don’t
have to be complicated or expensive. Start small and see what works!

Attend all company events yourself and encourage your team to
attend. Schedule pizza parties; coffee and small team gatherings at
events and whenever possible. The bonding and friendships created
can really sustain people and inspire them to move forward.
